How accurate are your lateral flow tests?

Our antigen kits are CE marked and approved by the UK (MHRA, DHSC)  with 98.8% accuracy, 97.1% sensitivity and 99.5% specificity and approved for customer self testing independently. Detects new variants including Indian variant.

I am unable to pay for my test online

Please check your billing address is the correct one for the card you are using. You can try to pay using another payment method, for instance Paypal if you have an account. Otherwise, please get in touch with us and we can send you a payment link or contact your bank adviser to check with them.

What is your refunds policy?

If you have booked a fit to fly test or test to release test through a testing site, you can cancel your test as long as you have notified us before the day of your test and there will be no administration charge for cancellation.

 

If you have booked a fit to fly or test to release home test kit and the kit has not been sent out a refund will be issued with no administration charge.

 

If you have booked a fit to fly or test to release home test kit and the kit has been sent out a refund will be issued if the kit has not been opened and you send the kit back to us using tracked postage and with proof of postage. Please contact our team for further guidance if you would like a refund and need to send the kit back to us. There will be a £10 administration charge for a cancellation of a postal fit to fly/test to release kit once we have sent the kit out.

 

If you have booked a day 2 or day 2/8 test, then we will have issued a Passenger Locator Form number (same as booking reference number we issue) and there are no refunds once this number has been issued. If your travel plans have changed and you are coming to the UK at a different date you can use the travel locator form number for when you do come, please get in touch with us and we will arrange for delivery according to your arrival date.

How will I know when my results are ready?

You will receive email notification when your results are ready, you will then need to login to your account to check your results and download your certificate.

How can I perform the test myself?

Do not worry, all of our home tests come with very clear instructions. You can always contact our customer service team on orders@101testing.co.uk or on phone if you need any help. Please also check the ‘How It Works’ page of the website. Please make sure that you read the instruction form carefully and that you complete the check list at the end of your instruction sheet.

Where can I find my reference number for my Passenger Locator Form?

Your reference number will be located in your confirmation email.

It can also be found in the ‘My account’ section of the website after you have clicked on your specific order. It starts with PHCTE and is followed by 7 digits.

How should I prepare for my trip to UK?

Within 3 days of your travel date to England, you will need to take a Covid-19 pre departure test if you are not fully vaccinated. If you are fully vaccinated you do not need to take a pre departure test to enter the UK. You will need to have bought a day 2 or day 2/8 Test Package before boarding for England.

Do children need to take the day 2 and day 8 tests?

The rules for children depend on age and country of residence.

 

 

For those children resident in the UK or in a country with an approved proof of vaccination (click here for further information);

Children of all ages resident of these countries do not have to quarantine on arrival in England.

If they are aged 4 and under they do not have to take any COVID-19 travel tests.

If aged 5 to 17 year olds:

  • do not have to take a COVID-19 test before travel to England
  • must take a day 2 lateral flow (antigen) test, after arrival to the UK, on or before day 2 post arrival – arrival day is day 0

 

For those children not resident in the UK or in a country with an approved proof of vaccination

They must follow quarantine rules.

If aged 4 or under they do not have to take any COVID-19 travel tests.

 

If aged 5 to 10;

  • must take  day 2 and 8 PCR tests

 

If aged 11 to 17 they must:

  • take a COVID-19 test before travelling to England
  • must take a day 2 and 8 PCR test

 

What does fully vaccinated mean?

What you need to do when you travel to England depends on whether you qualify as fully vaccinated or not.

To qualify under the fully vaccinated rules for travel to England, you must have been fully vaccinated with a full course of an approved vaccine under:

You can still travel to England if you do not qualify as fully vaccinated but you must then undertake day 2 and 8 PCr tests on arrival and quarantine for ten days at home or any other location.

If you qualify as fully vaccinated you need to do a Day 2 PCR test on arrival and need to self isolate until you receive your negative result.

What are the testing requirements for when I return to UK?

Travellers to the UK (apart from if travelled from within the common travel area) must;

  • provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result taken up to three days before departure if they are not fully vaccinated
  • book post-arrival testing, day 2 PCR test if fully vaccinated or day 2 and 8 PCR tests if not fully vaccinated)
  • complete a UK passenger locator form

The testing requirements depend on whether you have arrived from a ‘Red listed’ country and countries not on the red list –  more information on this can be found on the government website.;

Arriving from a ‘Red’ country –  you will need to quarantine in a quarantine hotel, purchase a hotel quarantine package that includes hotel and testing.

Arriving from any other countries; if you are fully vaccinated you will need to take a day 2 PCR test and need to self isolate until you receive your negative result.  If you are NOT fully vaccinated you will need to take day 2&8 PCR tests and will need to quarantine for ten days.

If you have arrived from somewhere in the common travel area you do not need to do any tests on arrival.

The common travel area is the UK, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, and Ireland. All British Overseas Territories are NOT included in the list. For more information, please visit the government website.

What if my test result comes back inconclusive? + -
